Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew are superstars in Sierra Lione, filling the national stadium for performances. In the summer of 2010, independent American label One Haven Music brought Bajah to the US, where they played the OkayAfrica celebration with The Roots & Talib Kweli. I was enlisted to edit and design a music video for their wacky first single, Jacky Jacky, which was shot on location in Sierra Lione.
The video for “Jacky Jacky,” is look into Tokeh, a seaside village south of Freetown, Sierra Leone where the dance craze originates. It’s funny, in a silly way because of the editing making it the funniest collection of .gif images to a song you’ll know all summer long.
